Question
hi, i have severe t.e and am finding it diffcult to heal the underlying cause, i started using amla, and essential oils scalp massage for 1 month now three days a week, when i do this it falls out more why is this? when or will at all it reduce my shedding and grow back my hair with these oils alone? how long will it take?
thanks
Answer
Hi Nikita:
Anytime you manipulate the scalp and hair (as it massage) it will cause loosened hairs to shed.
Because these hairs were already in the resting stage, they will fall out no matter what. Because hairs can stay in the resting stage for 3 months before falling out, it can take at least three months to start seeing improvements.
Scalp massage with amla and essential oils is very healthy for your scalp and hair and can help stimulate new hair growth.
When telogen effluvium is severe and long lasting it can be an indication of an imbalance that needs to be corrected. Some of the more common imbalances that can lead to chronic telogen effluvium include candidiasis albicans, low ferritin/iron, nutritional deficiencies (especially zinc, protein and iron)thyroid imbalance, autoimmune disorder, severe unresolved stress, medications, low level systemic inflammation, etc. In these cases although essential oils and amla can greatly help the hair condition, the problem still needs to be resolved.
Hair loss that was triggered by birth control is often difficult to resolve, even after the birth control has been discontinued.
